Chapter 8 – Security Training

2014
Security training, whether we are talking about the training that security officers receive or that of the organization's staff, is a crucial element of any organization's culture. If little or no training is provided, then you can expect a much higher degree of uncertainty about how an organization will react in crisis. Those organizations that provide ongoing training will often find that their campus is safer, and, in turn, the risks of violence or any other type of security incident are greatly reduced. In this chapter we will explain the benefits of security training and how to establish a security awareness program, as well as how to effectively measure an existing training program.
