TrafficCheck.at – An Online Feedback Platform for Traffic Lights

TrafficCheck was developed as an online feedback-platform for evaluating signalised junctions from a users’ point of view. TrafficCheck allows for structured feedback via smartphones on-site and internet for all road users concerning aspects of traffic quality and safety. TrafficCheck was developed within a user innovation process where various interest groups of road users as well as city administration could put in their ideas and requirements. Furthermore, the platform was designed to handle fault reports and complaints in an easy manner in order to reduce workload on the administration side of the feedback process. A test-application will be integrated into the quality management system of city administration of Graz. In respect to this, TrafficCheck is able to measure and track users’ satisfaction over time and thus serves as a tool for optimising city traffic management systems.
