Introduction: Thyrotoxic periodic paralysis (TPP) is a rare and serious complication of hyperthyroidism associated with Graves' disease which typically presents as an acute paralysis in the second decade of life and rarely in the pediatric population. Case Report: A 16-year-old Hispanic male with no prior medical or family history of paralysis presented to the emergency department with acute onset generalized muscle weakness upon awakening.
