Methods of investigation determination of molar mass distribution of polyamidobenzimidazole from a single sedimentogram

Abstract The theory developed by one of the present authors has been used to elaborate a method for the determination of molar mass distribution of polyamidobenzimidazole from a single sedimentogram. The procedure involves corrections for pressure, concentration dependence of sedimentation coefficient (self-sharpening of boundary) and for diffusion. The latter correction was accomplished by employing a computer to minimize the scatter of variance of distributions calculated from sedimentograms registered at different times.
