Light for detecting rain drops on a disk by means of a camera

2013
The invention relates to a device for detection of rain (4). The apparatus comprises a camera (1) and a lighting source (3, 30) for emission of visible light (h, n) on a disk (2). The camera (1) and the illumination source (3, 30) are constructed and arranged such that the camera can detect a signal from the visible light (r1, r2 ') which emits the illumination source onto the disk (2). In particular, correlates the from the camera (1) detected signal with at Scheibeninnen- (2.1) or -ausenseite (2.2) and / or at the rain drops (4) reflected or scattered visible light (r1, r2 ') of the illumination source ( 3, 30). The visible light passes through a shutter device (20) which causes the light in a predetermined direction perpendicular to the illumination direction of structures is blocked, or (21) of the diaphragm device (20) is greatly attenuated. In contrast, the light can propagate perpendicular virtually unimpeded to the predetermined direction and to the direction of illumination by the aperture device passes in the direction.
