The invention provides a road condition information sensing method based on the Internet of vehicles. The method comprises steps that the road condition information is sent by intelligent mobile terminals in vehicles to an application service platform through the wireless network, and the road condition information comprises the position, the speed and driving directions of the vehicles; terrestrial magnetic sensors are arranged on lanes, speeds of the vehicles on the lanes inducted by the terrestrial magnetic sensors are sent to the application service platform, the average vehicle flow speed information of each lane is calculated by the application service platform according to the vehicle speeds sent by each terrestrial magnetic sensor; the lanes in a jam sate can be determined by the application service platform according to the average vehicle flow speed information of each lane and the road condition information sent by the intelligent mobile terminals, and jam reasons can be further determined. Through the method, the road condition information is acquired by the intelligent mobile terminals in real time, whether the jam reasons belong to recurrent traffic congestion or traffic accident event factors can be determined in combination with change of the vehicle flow speed, and the specific traffic event generation lane can be precisely sensed.
