The Detection of MNSs ‘Variants’ in Serial Tests with Incomplete Rh Antisera in Saline

1972
Summary In tests with incomplete Rh antisera (anti-D and anti-c) in saline on red cells from 6,202 blood donors, 19 samples were shown to owe their enhanced agglutinability to ‘variants’ of the MNSs system. The strongest reactors were Mk, Miltenberg Class V and possible EnaEn heterozygotes.
