Corporación universitaria del caribe. Evolución y perspectiva: 1976 - 2000

The founding of private universities has had very particular histories; therefore, this research seeks to characterize the meaning of the creation of the University “Corporacion Universitaria del Caribe”, CECAR, in the period understood between the year 1976 to 2000 in order to be used as documentary source of enterprise development for Colombian Caribbean and Institutions of higher education. The research project is descriptive in nature, based on the documentary historical analysis of the facts and events of the creation of the educational enterprise. The central document of analysis is the empirical record one of its founders and this time relating to what happened in the context to let a consultation document in Business Affairs of the education sector. The historical and spatial framework of the research project focused on existing documentation and annotations of real events between the years 1976 to 2000; other research will deal with what happened after the year 2000. The present advance shows characterized periods of each Principal of CECAR and the different troubled situations that started arising from 1991 as the happened with the estate Villa Roja and the capture of decisions without consulting to Board of directors on the part of rectors.
