In this paper we consider the effects of homophily of actors and network ties on social resources management outcomes. Homophily is the degree to which individuals are congruent or similar in certain attributes, such as demographic variables, beliefs and values. Research focusing on the antecedents and consequences of homophily in organizations is reviewed.
