Applying IABP Nursing Methods to Patients with AMI

Objective To discuss intra-aortic balloon counter pulsation (IABP) nursing methods applied to patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI) in percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) operation. Methods To review the 29 cases of IABP in PCI operations in patients with cardiogenic shock and acute myocardial infarction, nursing methods to maintain effective circulation. Result After operation, by the appropriate monitoring and comprehensive care, for the 28 patients, circulation is normal and vital signs are stable, IAPC can be pulled out 1 to 7 days after operation. 1 patient dies of multiple organ failure. Conclusion Applying IABP nursing methods in PCI for patients with cardiogenic shock and acute myocardial infarction, comprehensive rescue and nursing methods are key to successful operation.
