Diffuse Near Infrared Spectroscopy Assessment of Diabetic Foot Ulcers: A Human Study

Forty-six human diabetic foot ulcers were measured with Diffuse Near-Infrared Spectroscopy. The weekly change in oxy-hemoglobin concentration could distinguish healing and non-healing ulcers with a sensitivity of 0.9 and specificity of 0.86 (p<0.002)
