Method for partially oxidizing sodium alginate

The invention discloses a method for partially oxidizing sodium alginate. The steps of the method are as follows: 1) a sodium alginate solution is prepared; 2) a potassium permanganate solution is prepared; 3) the pH value of the sodium alginate solution is adjusted by an acid solution; 4) the potassium permanganate solution is added to the sodium alginate solution and stirred for reaction under conditions of room temperature and light prevention; the oxidizing reaction stops when the mixed solution is colorless; 5) the solution after reaction is added with sodium chloride and then added with ethanol so as to separate precipitation out of the filtrate, and coarse products are obtained after decompression and pumping filtration; 6) the coarse products are dissolved in water and dialyzed; 7) after the complete dialysis, dialyzate is pre-freezed and then freeze-dried, and finally partially oxidizing sodium alginate products are obtained. The method has the advantages of simple and easy control of process, easy collection of raw materials, low cost and convenient popularization and application; the partially oxidizing sodium alginate prepared can be used to degrade gel materials, drug slow release materials, biological carrier materials and tissue engineering materials, etc.
