Research development of clinical metabonomics

Clinical metabonomics is the application of metabonomics in the clinical practice,and studies the metabolome at the global level,then followed by the application for pattern recognition and simultaneously to discover the biomarkers relevant to disease mechanisms,and ultimately gives support to the clinical intervention by defining the relationship of metabolome with health and disease.This review highlights the present status of clinical application of metabonomics as well as the potential challenges.
