The utility model discloses a high-capacity combined-type switch device which comprises a high-capacity thyristor, a high-capacity diode and a high-capacity contactor connected in parallel with one another and all capable of bearing a current as high as 150 to 1200A, wherein the high-capacity thyristor and the high-capacity diode are in reverse parallel connection. The device is controlled by a switch controller, and the switch controller switches on the thyristor and the contactor when the voltage of the capacitor and that of a power network are equal; and in case of tripping off, the contactor is before the thyristor. The utility model solves the problems of inrush current and overvoltage in the switching of a reactive comprehensive control device, as well as high loss in running. Besides, the operation is convenient and the running is reliable during use.
