Persistence improvement for distributed cache with NVM based storage system: work-in-progress

In this paper, we consider to improve the performance of Distributed Cache Systems (DCS) by using Non Volatile Memory (NVM) based storage device, which can accelerate the read and write speed when doing persistent operations. We propose the placement policy for two kinds of persistent files in DCS, and design an optimal checkpointing mechanism to improve the system reliability. We finally take Redis as an example and conduct several experiments to evaluate our design.
