fotodegradante process for the purification of contaminated water.

2001
A photodegradable process for the purification of polluted water, by compounds based ethers, characterized by the following steps: (a) pretreating the water contaminated with an inorganic acid to a pH within a range ranging from 4, 0 4, 5, with the elimination of carbon dioxide thus formed; (B) dispersion in the water, solid particles of a semiconductor metal oxide or dissolution of a consistent ozone in pure oxygen or air stream. (C) irradiation of the dispersion or solution obtained in step (b) with ultraviolet light to degrade the ether-based contaminants.
