An investigation of methods to reduce the hydrogen concentration on surfaces useful for ultra-cold neutron storage
1981
Abstract We report measurements of changes in the surface hydrogen content of selected materials as a result of (a) deuterium replacement, (b) continuous evaporation, (c) gas discharge cleaning and (d) heating to high temperatures. The relation between our results and the problem of storage of ultra-cold neutrons in material bottles is discussed.
