Advances in the preservation of edible mushroom cultures.

The principles underlying various methods used for the preservation and storage of edible mushroom fungi,including subculture,cryopreservation,freeze-drying,and storage under mineral oil or water,together with recent advances in these methodologies,have been reviewed.
