A Modeling Language for CNC System Domain

To solve problems that existed in current development process of CNC system,a development method for CNC system was proposed based on domain-specific modeling.CNC domain modeling language(CNCML)was constructed.HMC interaction control,motion control and PLC module could be modeled according to CNCML.In the early design phase,CNC function and non-function requirements could be tested by model verification and source code could be generated automatically by the model interpreter.A lathe NC system was taken as example to test.The result indicates CNCML is an effective domain meta-modeling methodology for CNC.
