Прогностическое значение выявления скрытых микрометастазов в регионарных к раковой опухоли лимфатических узлах

Presented were the results of detection of latent cancer micrometastases in regional lymph nodes (negative in routine staining), and determined was their effect on the five-year survival of cancer patients. The best method to detect micrometastases in regional lymph nodes is a combination of immunohistochemical technique using monoclonal antibodies against pan-cytokeratins and serial tissue sections. The presence of cancer micrometastases in regional lymph nodes is an unfavorable prognostic indicator.
