Design of a Shape Optimized Nano-Scale Electromagnetic Heat Dissipator with Maximized Heat Throughput to the Surroundings

We present a novel design of metallic nanostructures with optimized photo-thermal conversion efficiency. We utilize the shape dependency to enhance both electromagnetic absorption and the transfer of thermal energy to the surrounding medium.
