Theory of Fine Purification by Nonadiabatic Countercurrent Melt Crystallization

2002
In nonadiabatic countercurrent melt crystallization, the purification efficiency grows in going from the crystallizer to the melter. This effect is due to partial melting (decrease in average size) of the moving crystals. An expression is derived for the impurity distribution along the column.
