Nonoperative Treatment of Budd-Chiari Syndrome Utilizing New Radiologic Interventional Techniques A Case Report

1997
Budd-Chiari syndrome (BCS) describes a variety of clinical conditions that result in outflow obstruction of hepatic venous return to the right heart, ultimately leading to liver failure and death if left untreated. The authors present successful management to 24 months of a patient with BCS by radiologic interventional techniques that included percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and placement of metallic stents.
