Performance Analysis of SDN-based Global Mobility Support Scheme in Smart Factory Networks

2019
Abstract Mobile node mobility management and seamless handover are key features that can effectively support global roaming in a smart factory network. In a smart factory network environment, mobile users are no longer the only ones who need it in the manufacturing environment itself. The global mobility network in such a situation does not have research much. Smart factory network should be flexible and include a Software Defined Network. Mobile IPv6 and mobility management in the extended IP layer, which relies heavily on traffic characteristics and user mobility models, has been proposed by the IETF. It is important to evaluate in-depth performance on these factors, and this is largely evaluated through simulation. In this paper, we propose a new type of network that supports smart factory global mobility. The network simulation results can be used to show the correlation between network parameters and performance parameters.
