Research on Autonomic Collaborative Caching in RAM Grids

This paper proposes a mechanism to exploit RAM grids for disk caching based on our previous work.RAM grids for caching will organize and share the distributed free memory resources in networks,and improve the performance of the nodes with massive disk IOs.We propose a basic scheme and autonomic collaboration mechanisms such as time distributing and space merging,which optimize the performance of our system.Finally our scheme is evaluated through trace-based simulation.
