Analysis of Effects of Harmonics of the Power System to Shunt Capacitors

This paper describes the effects of harmonics of the power system to shunt capacitors,The harm of harmonics and harmonic amplification effect caused by shunt capacitors were analyzed,several methods for restraining harm of harmonics to shunt capacitors were given.
