Área capilar subepitelial en el endometrio ovino en los días 0 y 14 del ciclo estral y en los 14, 20 y 24 días de gestación

2001
Te analyze possible changes in capillary subepithelial area of the endometrium, at 0 and 14 days of the estrous cycle and at 14, 20 and 24 days of gestation, 8 ewes were studied, using representative sections of the uterus of each animal colored with HE the lowest value was seen in the intercaruncuiar zone at day 0. Values obtained for caruncular and intercaruncular zones were different at the 2 ages studied (P<0.01). At 14 days of gestation, there were differences between uterine zones, with higher SCA in the caruncular one. At 20 and 24 days of gestation, differences were detected between regions located near the embryo in comparison to more distant ones. Differences were also found between caruncular zones at 20 days, and at 24 for the intercaruncular ones (P<0.01). The trophoblast surrounding the embryonic area appears to induce angiogenesis in the endometrial subepithelium. The differences observed during the estrous cycle, can not be explained at present. The influence of the embryo in the vasculogenesis could indicate that fall embryonic in this stimulation it would cause the death of the embryo product of a decrease in the supply of gases and nutritious toward the same one, in front of a conceptus whose metabolic demands increase with the gestation age.
