There is provided an assembly (1) of column (2) and support column (3) configured to be assembled with a crosspiece (4) and comprising a slider device (5) and a retainer (6). The column comprises a body (19) and a centering end (18). The assembly comprises: - a suspension device (25) configured to suspend the column (2) to a slide (8) of the slider device, - an opening (9) on the retaining device (6) configured to y inserting a portion of the centering end (18) of the column (2), the opening being bounded on one side by a support edge. The retainer (6) comprises on a second side of the opening (9) diametrically opposite the first side, a stop flange extending forwardly of the opening (9) towards the slide (8), so as to form a stop for the centering end (18) upon tilting of the column variations (2).
