The invention discloses a monitoring method of a river vessel supervisory system based on RFID, comprising the following steps: providing an electronic tag adopting the RFID technology in the microwave frequency band; installing the electronic tag on the river vessel, and reading and writing information in the electronic tag by a reader to manage and monitor the river vessel; receiving vessel navigation records uploaded by a plurality of readers by a data center to perform the operations, such as repeating, cleaning and the like on data; and storing so as to be provided for other river vessel harbor navigation management systems. In a great quantity of vessel navigation information, a shipping lane serves as a statistics target to collect vessel flow, vessel density and average vessel route speed of the inland channel in each time interval are calculated; by taking the vessel as the statistics target, the vessel navigation track is drawn to obtain the vessel running track characteristic; the vessel navigation information serves as the vessel navigation track record after processing, a congestion section in an inland river communication network is analyzed with a data mining approach to assist in inland river shipping harbor construction decisions.
