A Note on "Isolation and Pharmacological Action of Heliotrine, the Major Alkaloid of Heliotropium indicum Seeds".

Heliotrine has been isolated as major alkaloid from the seeds of Heliotropium indicum. This is the first report of the isolation of heliotrine from H. indicum seeds. Heliotrine was found to possess ganglion blocking activity.
