Observaciones sobre la morfología glaciar del alto valle de Kaphe. Macizo de los Dhaulagiri, Himalaya del Nepal

RESUMEN La especial ubicacion del alto Kaphe, inserto en el sector occidental del macizo de los Dhaulagiri, permite la observacion de los caracteres morfologicos del area interna y alta del macizo. El valle se ha labrado en dependencia de un neto control morfotectonico-tectonica que incluso hoy se manifiesta parcialmente activa- y de un vigoroso modelado glaciar, cuya evolucion mas reciente se presenta completa y coherente con la ya reconocida por nosotros en otros ambitos del Himalaya. Himalaya du Nepal .- La particuliere situation de la haute Kaphe, inscrite dans le secteur occidental du massif des Dhaulagiri, permet d'observer les particularites morphologiques de la surface interne et haute du massif. La vallee a ete sculptee en dependance d'un clair controle morphotectonique (tectonique qui se manifeste encore en partie active dans I'actualite) et d'un fort modele glacier, dont l'evolution plus recente se presente complete et coherente avec celle que nous avions deja repere dans d'autres zones de I'Himalaya. ABSTRACI' Glaciomorphological observations in the Kaphe high valley. Dhaulagiri Massif. Nepal Himalaya .- The high Kaphe Khola valley, included in the western part of the Dhaulagiri massif, allows the study of interesting morphological features of the high elevation portion of the region. The valley itself has a clear morphotectonic control, alltogether with many evidences of glacier morphology, which is in accordance with that of other regions of the Himalayas studied by us. Recent tectonic activity, in the form of normal faults roughly trending E- W, is very obvious in the high part of the valley.
