Vaccines to protect against hiv virus infections, methods for their manufacture and their use as diagnostic use and immune therapeutic agent.

1989
Vaccins for protecting against infection by HIV virus, therapeutic means for treatment following HIV virus infections, process for producing the same and their use; process for differentiating between infections of the type HIV-2ALT and HIV-2 type infections, defined by the prototype HIV-2ROD. The object of the invention is the virus HIV-2D205 and HIV-2 variants which differ from the HIV-2 prototypes of the HIV-2ROD type by the fact that the nucleotide sequence homology is lower than 77 %. Also disclosed are proteins and nucleic acids of HIV-2D205 and its variants to be used as vaccins for protecting against HIV virus infections, in genetic or immunotherapy, to establish animal models and for differential diagnostic, as well as the process for producing these vaccins, immunotherapy and diagnostic means and their use.
