Sorbents to control soil pollution

Abstract In this chapter, we focus on retention/inactivation of pollutants after interacting with soil constituents, and with sorbents added to soils, aiding to reduce and control contamination in the edaphic environment, and consequently in other environmental compartments. We show data regarding results of searching on Google Scholar, and examples of works on the field of research where the authors of the chapter have participated. Overall, the results indicate that this field is considered very interesting, and the number of related publications is continuously growing.
