Selbstverstärkende Elektro-Hydraulische Bremse (SEHB)

The SEHB is a distributed hydraulic brake, with which it is possible to adjust the true braking torque. In this article, the authors present an overall concept for guaranteeing the function in extreme operational conditions. This can be achieved in practice by reviewing and modifying the mechanical guidance for the brake pads and the system's hydraulic parts and with a new approach to the design of the support cylinders. The brake system devised here forms the basis for testing future customised valve prototypes.
