Study on Assessment for Performance of Road Transportation Based on Factor Analysis

Road transportation is the basic industry for national economy.To improve performance of road transportation is the basic approach to development of national economy.On the basis of establishing assessment index system of performance of road transportation,research and statistics data in 2003 are used to conduct comprehensive assessment for performance of road transportation in various provinces and cities all over China in the method of factor analysis.This paper points out major factors affecting performance of road transportation,and compares performance of road transportation among provinces to look for factors that would affect the ranking,and specify the direction to improve performance of road transportation.
