Основные модели образования многокомпонентных терминологических словосочетаний в терминосистеме англоязычного переводоведения

The article deals with one of the productive ways of term-formation in the terminological system of the English-speaking theory of translation, i.e. terminological word combinations which are also considered as terms in the modern books on terminology. In the research there was an attempt to have a look at the maximum number of the special lexical units used in the translation studies terminology. That is why all the terms not depending on their length have been considered. In the English-speaking terminology the maximum number of words forming a terminological word combination is four. To our mind this can be explained by the development of the discipline such as the theory of translation. The structural composition of twoand three-piece (part) word combinations has been analyzed. There are tables of the patterns according to which twoand three-piece word combinations of the terminological system of the English-speaking theory of translation.
