O O CUSTO DA GERAÇÃO DE RESÍDUOS EM OBRAS DE CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL

One of the main doubts in management of construction and demolition (C&D) waste is the cost of waste generation. It is common that only the cost of transport/destination of the waste generated is taken into account, which is far from being the real cost for the waste produced during a construction. Therefore, this study presents a method to calculate the real cost of waste generation and compares it to the value commonly used to account the costs with C&D waste management. The result showed that 21.26% of the total cost of the construction is associated to waste generation. It was found a considerable difference from the value of transport/destination commonly used of R$ 167.75 to the real cost of R$ 7.766,31, which indicates the need to analyze and consider the whole construction chain as well as the waste generation cycle.
