Integrated all-optical VO2/Si waveguide switch

Experimental investigation of all-optical switching in a hybrid VO2/Si waveguide is carried out. Results show switching speeds of 350 ns and 7 µs for the insulating-to-metallic transition (IMT) and the metallic-to-insulating transition (MIT), respectively.
