Presencia estatal, liderazgos civiles y repertorios de violencia en Corinto - Toribio (Cauca), 2014-2019

There is a marked persistence in the dynamics of violence in Colombia, that generate damage to the civilian population and in different circles of society in one way or another. For this reason, different types of actors have insisted on the need to implement and deepen mechanisms of negotiation and state reform, in order to solve the structural problems of these conflicts; however, most of these attempts open the door to new blood 'baths'. For this reason, we are interested in research about the reason for the continuation of violence, which has also led us to be interested in the way in which armed groups, strategies and repertoires of violence employed by them evolve. We have taken the municipalities of Corinto and Toribio, located in the northern area of ​​the department of Cauca (Colombia), as a spatial reference for the study; Likewise, we have studied the period 2014 - 2019 in order to be able to analyze information prior to and after the peace process negotiated and signed with the FARC guerrilla in 2016.
