Optimización de los aprovechamientos de las claras

1993
Until now, studies of thinning methods have been carried out from a forestal perspective, ignoring to a fairIy large extent industrial aspects such as economics and log quality. A recent study offers a new approach to the design and organization of thinning procedures, which takes into account cost optimization. The study centres, firstIy on an analisis of the most utilised thinning systems, both in Spain an abroad, in order to find the most economical procedure. Secondly it look at economic optimization for a specific thinning procedure. This is done by means of a mathematical cost simulation which takes into account hourly productivity ratings. The distance between strip road is used as a determinant characteristic variable of organization and procedure cost. Once the mathematical equation has been optimised and a sensitivity analisis has been carried out, perfectly viable results are obtained, but not so much from a forestal or environmental perspective as this has a fairly limited
