Family Environment among Male and Female College Students: A Comparative Study

The study was conducted to locate difference in family environment among college students on the basis gender. In total 200 college students were taken out of five districts of Kashmir. The study was based on the objectives of finding out difference in the family environment among college students with the use of descriptive survey method. The results of the study indicated that significant difference exits between male and female college students regarding their family environment meaning thereby gender plays significant role in the determining family environment among male and female college students. In terms of relationship dimension of family environment, significant difference was evident between male and females whereas in case of personal growth and system maintenance dimension no significant difference was evident between the sample groups under study.
