This chapter reviews and discusses essential elements of designing and conducting clinical research that lead to successful reporting of clinical trial results in renal transplantation. The authors highlight key considerations in designing a clinical study that evaluates the safety and efficacy of a theoretical novel immunosuppressive agent, as well as in execution of such a study.
