Microinvasive Carcinoma of the Cervix: Definition and Behavior

In simple morphologic terms microinvasive squamous carcinoma of the uterine cervix (MIC) defines those lesions with limited invasion of the cervical stroma. In biologic terms (MIC) refers to those lesions with limited potential for metastases.
