Efecto agudo de la liberación miofacial sobre la amplitud de movimento, fuerza muscular y flexibilidade de practicantes de CrossFit®

2021
Objective: To evaluate the acute effects of myofascial release on range of motion and muscle strength in squat exercises, vertical jump power, and flexibility in CrossFit® practitioners. Methodology: This study is a cross-sectional experimental model. We evaluated 11 men with an average age of 27.1 ± 6.5 years, practicing strength training for more than 1 year. We used the flexibility tests on the Wells bench, vertical jump to evaluate muscle power and muscle strength in the 1RM test in the squat exercise. Between the tests, we respect an interval of 48 hours. Results: After using myofascial release, the group average was 34 (7.1) centimeters and without myofascial release 35 (6.4) centimeters. Vertical jump, 60 (9.5) centimeters and 64 (11.1) centimeters high with and without throw. For the maximum load test in squat 124.7 (18) kilos with myofascial release and 138 (25.3) kilos without using the release. Conclusion: The results suggest no modifications were observed in the tests applied when they were performed with and without myofascial release.
