Efeito da biópsia de glândula mamária sobre a produção de leite em cabras canindé durante lactação induzida

The aim of this study was to evaluate the mammary biopsy effect on milk production in goats, during induced lactation. Ten Caninde females were subjected to induced lactation and two mammary biopsy procedures. On Day 0 (D0) all goats were lactating, on D5 and D26, biopsy 1 was performed on right teat and biopsy 2 on left teat, respectively. The hormonal therapy used was 90% effective to induce lactogenesis. No differences (P > 0.05) on milk production were observed on both biopsies at different moments examined. In conclusion, the milk production was not affected by mammary biopsy in Caninde goats during induced lactation.
