The purpose of this study was to design a system to provide decision-making support to the National Disaster and Safety Status Control Center regarding swell-like wave hazards on the eastern coast of Korea. Based on the results obtained from two test beds used for swell-like wave predictions, a system for forecasting swell-like waves was developed. The model used real-time data from the Regional Data Assimilation and Prediction System of the Korea Meteorological Administration.
