Fatigue Crack Propagation under Random Loading : 1st Report : Experiment with Small Digital System

1986
To supply data needed for the rational fatigue design of structures subject to random loads, there must be some appropriate testing methods that can reproduce a specified time history of such random variables as load, stress, strain and stress intensity factors. With a small microcomputer system alone, it is very difficult to perform exact experiments involving variations as fatigue damage accumulates in a specimen, but this report describes how two microprocessing units were used to perform experiments.
