Critical magnetic fields and related properties of the ambient pressure organic superconductor β-(BEDT-TTF)2IBr2

1986
Measurements of the superconducting properties of organic metals of the type (BEDT-TTF)/sub 2/X (X/sup -/ is a linear-triatomic anion) apparently give sample- and technique-dependent results which make the parameterization and comparison of properties a difficult matter. This problem is discussed and examined experimentally in measurements of the critical magnetic fields and T/sub c/ of an oriented single crystal of ..beta..-(BEDT-TTF)/sub 2/IBr/sub 2/ (T/sub c/ = 2.3 K at ambient pressure). 4 refs., 3 figs.
