Strain Modal Testing with Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors of Composite Components for Automotive Applications

A strain modal testing methodology based on the use of Fiber Bragg Grating sensors is applied to study the dynamic behavior of a reinforced composite roof in a solar vehicle. The results are compared with traditional displacement modal testing data obtained with accelerometers.
