Structural and magnetic ordering in Co2MnSifilms on (001) SrTiO3

We report the evolution of structural as well as magnetic ordering with annealing temperature (TA ) in full-Heusler alloy Co 2 MnSi thin films grown on (001) SrTiO 3 substrate. The films attain maximum possible ordered state (L21 state) as TA increases from 400°C to 600°C . The magnetization measurements show a moment of ≈ 4.89 μB per formula unit with low coercivity (≈ 6.2 mT) for 600°C annealed film. Electrical resistivity measurements show a pronounced metallic behavior in the 600°C annealed films as indicated by its low residual resistivity (0.038 μω-cm).
